Tai chi: getting started

No specialist equipment or kit required…

The abandoned tennis racket, the unused dumbbells and the trainers that have seen better days.

Taking up a new sport or leisure hobby can be a bit daunting. You need the right equipment and the right attire, which involves parting with your hard-earned cash.

But tai chi is different. All it requires is bare feet, the comfiest clothes you own and an open mind.

From this simple outlay, you can reap big rewards. Enhanced flexibility, lower blood pressure, improved heart health and increased energy levels are just a few ways practicing tai chi can help your physical health.

It is also a great mood booster and stress and anxiety buster, too.

Tai chi can be practiced anywhere, anytime. There are many ‘how-to’ videos online but the best place to start is at a class, where a teacher can help you master the art form correctly and safely.

Come along to one of our classes and feel the benefits for yourself!
