MONDAY 11:00 – 12:00  –  SEE DATES + BOOK HERE

Fitness and martial arts expert, Linda, AKA Miss Fu, teaches the most popular form of Tai Chi here at LiveWell Kew – Yang Style 24 Steps.

Tai chi is a martial art, combining deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements.

Originating in China, it is now widely practiced worldwide for its extensive health benefits and meditation.

This gentle form of exercise is low-impact and slow motion, meaning it doesn’t put pressure on joints and bones.

But even though the moves are soft and controlled, it encourages the mind to be focused and alert.

It’s an ideal form of fitness for all ages and fitness levels. A great way of unwinding with the added bonus of making new friends!

Tai chi can easily be adapted for anyone, including pregnant women, people with chronic conditions, wheelchair users, or people recovering from surgery.

Benefits of tai chi:

  • Better mood, with lower levels of depression, stress, and anxiety
  • Greater aerobic capacity and muscle strength
  • More energy and stamina
  • Enhanced flexibility, balance and agility
  • Reduced risk of falls in older adults
  • Lower blood pressure and improved heart health
  • Reduced inflammation
  • Improves sleep
