For children aged 4-16 years with disabilities and additional needs…
30-minute 1:1 sessions available every Thursday 12:00 – 14:00 BOOK NOW
Suggested donation of £6 per session. All proceeds go to Skylarks charity.
This programme is specially designed for children aged 4-16 years with disabilities and additional needs.
In dedicated 1:1 sessions, Frankie Arpino – a senior yoga practitioner and SEN parent – aims to bring you and your child to a state of relaxation together by exploring movement, breathing and sensory integration techniques.
In each session Frankie meets the child exactly where they are. It’s not about how many yoga poses might or might not be achieved, but rather about how settled and relaxed the child feels during and after the class.
The focus is around the practices of gentle movement, breath work, relaxation, sound, massage and working with feet.
Benefits of practising developmental yoga include:
- Build strength, coordination and flexibility
- Develop natural sleep and digestion patterns
- Improve cognition, fostering a greater capacity to learn
- Learn practical communication skills and techniques
- Reduce physical pain and emotional trauma
